1. Have a working installation of Viper Racing (NOT the vrgt demo) patched to 1.2.3 Beta, or higher.

  2. Have "Trackman" installed and all addon tracks downloaded from this site. They don't need to be loaded into Trackman until race time - we'll decide which tracks to use at that time.

  3. One of the ViperGT cars must also be installed to race. It's your choice to use either the 769 or the 550 hp. However, they can't be loaded simultaneously since they use the same file name, so choose your preference.

  4. Log into Val's Java chatroom at 10am Pacific, 1pm Eastern. The link is: http://www.freejavachat.com/theme.php?room=ViperRacing&theme=10 From there, you'll be given both the IP address for races and for the voice chat program Ventrilo.

  5. When someone agrees to host, they will give out their IP number, which must be written down or copied to the computer.

  6. When host is ready, go into the game and select multiplayer/"LAN" tab. Make sure "TCP/IP" is checked and click the "Find" button. In the popup, type in or paste the IP number you saved and click the "OK" button.

  7. It will do a search, and when/if it finds the host, a name will appear in the list on the current screen. Click the "Join" button and you will be connected to the host and join an in-game chatroom.

  8. From there, you can simply click "Ready", (wait for host and others to click in) and "Race" on the following page, but you may want to also select your car from "Options"/"Hacks" and your car setup from "Garage" before clicking "Race".
